Sixteen Bars
SIXTEEN BARS follows Nia Cole, a 24-year-old rapper from Brooklyn's Van Dyke projects, as she rises from open mics to industry showcases—but the spotlight comes with a price. Two years after her brother was murdered, Nia returns to music with raw talent and a voice full of pain. She catches the attention of a powerful manager who promises stardom, a producer who believes in her gift, and a dangerous man from her past who believes he owns her. As Nia fights to stay true to herself in an industry that wants to remake her, she uncovers dark secrets—about her brother's death, her mother's past, and the predators hiding behind record deals. In a world where everyone wants a piece of her, Nia must decide: play the game or burn it down. From the streets to the studio, survival is the only hit that matters.
